How simple is this?
THIS IS MY TECHNICAL WRITING & SERVICES PAGE
Technical writing is defined as that which addresses a technical aspect, process, product, service or a specific mechanical, computerized or hybrid system. The object is to provide the type of technical material you need. Some examples are user guides, maintenance manuals, task-oriented processes and the like. In these days of compliance documentation, such as, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), mandated documentation, material to industry specifications, standards or even these forms of material themselves can be ordered.
Call or contact me. Then we begin talking. Once the scope of your request has been determined, pricing and other considerations can be defined and established. You can use a contract service firm, consulting company or contract our organization directly. Direct contracts are executed in the following manner, which is not normally a way to do things, but it is how DUO does it, and how I do it. We produce a week's worth of deliverables, and you review the material. If it is accepted, which must be within a 24-hour turnaround, we consider the deliverable to be approved, and as such, we expect to be paid within 7 days (7 days net). This is a strict method, but it has worked for over 20 years with no complaints.
To estimate costs with workable parameters, I gauge quantities of product on the old "per-page" method, which is: It takes about 2 hours to produce a page of technical material, assuming it is a combination of text and graphics, assuming that a page is defined at a piece of paper with approximately 350 words of text and equivalent art. Of course, in this day and age, we do not produce paper (but we can in certain circumstances).
The hourly rate of production in US dollars will be determined by scope of work, timelines and other considerations. I am, normally, no more or less than conventional industry standards for consulting companies (for which I work at times) that you can find out by calling any reputable contract services firm or consulting company using and applying my talents at my level of ability, experience and reputation.
Now that we understand each other, let's do it. Remember that I work from my own office and do not impose myself or my staff on your workplace. Of course, there are always exceptions, so propose them.
DUO DOES IT, AND SO DO i
I DO IT IN MY OFFICE; WHERE DO YOU DO IT?
Direct contracts are available, otherwise, select a contract service firm,
consulting company you prefer or select one from my list; either way, email me at:
