GREG HAS MORE TO LIFE THAN JUST WORK, AND HE, LIKE HIS WIFE, ELIZABETH, ATTENDED A PRIVATE SCHOOL, IN HIS CASE,  ADMIRAL FARRAGUT ACADEMY IN PINE BEACH, NJ, IN THE 1950s; MOVED AROUND, BECAUSE HIS FATHER WAS A TRAVELING SALESMAN; WAS A CHAMPIONSHIP SWIMMER IN HIGH SCHOOL, A STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICER, THREW THE DISCUS, AND EVENTUALLY ENDED UP AT PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY, 1962 - 1964.  WHILE THERE, HE BECAME A MEMBER OF THE ALPHA DELTA CHAPTER OF KAPPA SIGMA FRATERNITY; BECAME AN ALUMNUS OF THE PENNSYLVANIA ACADEMY OF THE FINE ARTS IN PHILADELPHIA; WENT TO WAR, 1966 - 1970; RETURNED TO PENN STATE TO GET HIS BA DEGREE AND CERTIFICATE IN CREATIVE WRITING, 1970 - 1972 AND A BIT MORE.  HE BECAME AN ACCOMPLISHED HORSEMAN (ENGLISH), A MEDIOCRE POLO PLAYER, 1967 - 1968; A SOLID INTERMEDIATE SKIER (MEMBER OF THE WIESBADEN AMERICAN SKI CLUB); BOUGHT HIS FIRST SAILBOAT IN 1974; GAVE IT TO HIS FIANC» INSTEAD OF A DIAMOND RING (WHICH HE BELATEDLY PRESENTED TO HER ON THEIR 25TH ANNIVERSARY).  HIS INVOLVEMENT AND APPRECIATION IN SAIL AND MOTOR BOATING CONTINUES TO THIS DAY.  HE IS AN ACCOMPLISHED DRUMMER (A GOOD SPOON PLAYER AND PERCUSSIONIST); BECAME A HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER AND CURMUDGEON  WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR AND, AS A POET, HAS RETURNED, IN PART, TO WRITING HIS FAVORITE FORM OF POETRY, SHAKESPEAREAN SONNETS.  LIFE IS GOOD, AND SO IS HE...JUST ASK HIM.  COMPARE AN "OLD" SONNET WITH A "NEW" SONNET, 45 YEARS LATER.

A LEAF PLACED IN HER HAND

(MARCH, 1972)

She turned a leaf before her eyes to see

What lay beneath the side she thought alone.

There, in her hand, across her palm, a tree

Lay in a plate of green, relief free-grown.

Upon her skin, another tree was etched

Not green, light green, but flesh, sweet pink, a cut

Just like the handsome leaf that nature sketched,

A record in time of past light greens, occult.

Twas this, the two combined, that called respite

From thought, so that a more exciting sign

Could be displayed, that of marvel, a bright

Relook with no question, just awe refined.

On leaf brocade, and in the palm engraved,

Was written the world, its past, its now, and saved.

THE METRONOME OF TIME

(45 YEARS LATER...APRIL, 2017)

The finest day is that which says itís bright,

The finest night is that which has no sun,

The finest month is that which shows its might,

The finest year is that which says itís done,

So days and nights and months and years appear,

To give us simple folk a way to know,

When to plant ideas, seeds to rear,

Itís simply this, the sun tells when to sow,

While we, the dull, hoe this and do our best,

To grow, to reap, to feed ourselves in hours,

Held sacrosanct, the nights of blessed rest,

While months, years of cold, at times are ours,

Measured, in long spans of sacred seasons,

Eat this, save that, pickling pots all in a line,

Below, cellars, hanging roots, reasons,

For days, and nights, and months, and years align,

Godís metronome sacred and sublime,

To start again, another year in time.

ABOUT "THE GREG & LIZ ALLIANCE AT WORK"

by DUO Publicist, Sinjon Sidoroff

THE DUO STRATEGIC ART & LITERATURE ALLIANCE, D-SALA, WAS FORMED BY GREG AND LIZ AS PART OF THEIR MARRIAGE CEREMONY, INFORMALLY.  WHEN THEY JOINED HANDS, THEY DID MORE THAN JUST ALIGN IN LIFE ITSELF, BUT AS COHORTS IN BUSINESS.  LIZ, BEING HER NORMAL AGGRESSIVE SELF, DECIDED GREG NEEDED A PUBLISHER FOR A SCIENCE FICTION EPIC HE WAS WRITING, AND ENDED UP, IN TIME, LATER, IN 1979/1980, WRITING HER OWN BOOK, "HER FATHER'S DAUGHTER," A REGENCY ROMANCE, WITH THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF GETTING GREG AN AGENT, AND WHAT HAPPENED?  SHE ENDED UP  ACQUIRING AN AGENT, ANITA DIAMONT.  GREG, UNFORTUNATELY, WAS OUT OF THE PICTURE, BUT SHE SENT HIM OFF TO WORK, WHICH WAS CONSOLATION AND WAS A MORE LUCRATIVE PURSUIT.  HE BEGAN WRITING SERIOUSLY AGAIN IN 2001, AND LIZ, AS PUBLISHER SUPREME, PUT HIS NEW 549,000-WORD, WWII, ROMANCE AND INTELLIGENCE EPIC, 22TANGO, UP ON KINDLE IN JANUARY OF 2010.  ABOUT TIME.  THE ALLIANCE WAS AN IMPLIED ASSOCIATION AND WAS FORMALIZED, INCLUDING LOGO, IN JANUARY OF 2017, MUCH TO THEIR UNIFIED PLEASURE.  NOW, THEY WERE NOT ONLY INDEPENDENT AUTHORS AND RELATED DOCUMENTATION AND PUBLICATIONS SPECIALISTS, BUT WERE PARTNERS IN SOMETHING NEW...SHARING ALL THE ASPECTS OF A SINGLE UNIT SERVING MULTIPLE CLIENTS.  AS OF TODAY, EVERYTHING IS NEW, EXCEPT WHAT IS OLD, WHICH LENDS AN IMMENSE RESERVOIR OF EXPERIENCE TO TODAY'S INDUSTRIES AND IN ADDITION, A WEALTH OF NEW READERS.  AT 72 AND 67, RESPECTIVELY, THEY ARE NOW YOUNG KIDS RACING DOWN THE ROAD AGAIN.

Note that he is acknowledged for his work in these books...this is a rarity for ghost writers.  He produced all this working only 40 hours each week.

SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

FOR INTERESTING TRADE ALTERNATIVES

the D-SALA, DUO "User Package" Concept

as opposed to "Owner Package"

by Publicist, Sinjon Sidoroff

Consider these options, an alternative to "owning" the trade item.  How about "use" instead?  What if the idea is not to trade to "own" items, such as, property, or vessels, or automobiles but "use" instead?  What about trading for an opportunity, for instance advertising or promotion or publicity, or use of an account you set up with a given restaurant for 1 year (in this case, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Chester County itself), an account Greg and Liz could use at a particular establishment, other than a restaurant, by your own arrangement, for two individuals, partners in the very effort to provide you with the book you want.  This user package would have a "time limit" in months, years or the like.  That way, you continue to own your trade item (assuming it is hardware), and they only use it.  Consider limo rentals (there is a local one in West Chester), a taxi account, because they do not have a personal car at the moment nor really want one.  Business is Business, and this is business, even though we are all having fun.

The Taylors have a business, and you have a business, trade books or technical publications and documentation services for User Packages.  They are interested in a company car, and are considering a KIA K900, which you could trade in the form of a lease or one from your company.

Due to Liz's physical limitations, they define their "area" as within a circle of 50 miles of downtown West Chester, and as you will see, this puts the northern Chesapeake Bay within range, along with half way to the Pocono Mountains, the New Jersey shore just short of Cape May, Delaware waters, marvelous playgrounds and places of opportunity, vacations, hotels, resorts and other delightful pastime locations.  This permits, for instance, memberships in various country clubs, yacht clubs and the like (either on your membership, or one offered to them specifically) within this distance.  Please add polo clubs to the mix, since select Taylor family are former polo players, and local spas for Liz's health and happiness.  We are aware of the dining minimums that are usually associated with country  and yacht club memberships, and they do not want to join to spend; they want to join to enjoy and offer their contributions in a different manner...a few DUO-funded parties as well as their professions to the furtherment of the club's interests through documentation.  In these situations, an account for two to dine once a week would be a nice addition.  This would, of course, include a bottle of Greg's familiar Cockburn's porto, the nectar of the Gods.  They would, out of courtesy, take care of their own ongoing monthly bar bill separately and personally, as well as adding gratuities for excellent service and attention to those who make their experience pleasurable.  Season tickets to events and venues, such as regional theaters, concerts and convention shows may be interesting.

Check with your accountant and make sure all is well for business-to-business trades of equal value.  Let us know the details, and we, if represented in your book by acknowledgment, will push the book, and push your industry, or even you.  Otherwise, in keeping with the rules of Ghost Writing, Greg and Liz would remain invisible and evaporate into the well-paying mist of obscure authorship.  It is hoped, under these circumstances, to become business allies, professional and personal friends or just distant respectful objects on the horizon.  Maybe, a second book, or a technical manual, or a commercial document would be good.   If you are interested  in D-SALA's "User Package" concept, email them at duopub@aol.com, and their current requested User Packages and also Owner Packages will be sent you, via email, where they actually do trade to own some of the items.  Ownership of a boat, car or property, because that is what you are offering, will be considered on an item-to-item basis.  Popular items that may qualify include their interest in a vintage, fully-restored, professionally surveyed, wooden runabouts on a new trailer (perhaps with a late-model pickup to pull it around), also, any professionally built, collector-quality ship, sail or no-sail, aircraft, vehicle models for display, as well as arrays of HO, 1/87-scale buildings, figures, and vehicles to support Greg and Liz's creation of detailed dioramas.

Offers initiated by you are encouraged, because you may want to divest yourself of something (in the attic or in the basement, garage or warehouse), otherwise not of general value, for instance, personally valued items extraordinary in terms of understandable, family sensitivities, not ones applied by fickle markets, and Greg and Liz, who have a wide variety of interests, might be quite interested in owning or using whatever it is.  Items of interest may include collectibles, online food delivery packages (meat per month concept), personal items (online accounts in various stores and industries, vacation, travel).  Their "wish list" usually varies and is perpetually different, depending on a lot of factors, especially their preferences and more at the time.  Jewelry should not be considered an option due to insurance considerations.  As you might expect, certain items would require professional certification as well as insurance documentation to validate value.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT GREG AND LIZ

by DUO Publicist, Sinjon Sidoroff

Greg is a MIL-SPEC technical writer, technical editor as well as a technical illustrator, 1974 to now.  He has vast, diverse experience in the Military Industrial Complex, or so, and has worked many contracts involving computer programs, ships, aircraft, and even candy-wrapping equipment (M&M Mars Twix bar line in Cleveland Tennessee in 1979, as a national jobshopper, complete with his wife, Liz, and two kids at one point.  Greg has the distinction to have been the first to write and illustrate the technical manuals for this product and also their Summit bar line.)  He had the opportunity to work with premier packaging designer, Ira Green.  Greg and Liz, as the Alliance, are available to perform technical writing and editing work for you from their office in West Chester (shown above in black & white), through approved contract services firms, contract definition...40 hours per week, 160 hour commitment maximum.

So how do you or your representative keep tabs their work and progress?  All Greg's custom, ghost-written, as well as standard commercial work, literary products and enterprise novels are priced at $1 to $3 per word and are available from 1,500 words to 80,000 words designed to make you, a friend, or a relative, an author.  This range and cost keep negotiations easy and reflects their 96 years of combined enterprise experience.  Once this agreement is implemented, there are no overruns, renegotiations, or other annoying and distracting twists to the process.  There is a nice feature from their technical, government work, and that is a 10% change option after the final review, a nice touch at no additional cost.  Being resourceful and open to options, they are also open for trades of equal value...try them...boats, cars, opportunities, user and owner packages and more.  Be imaginative, make offers.  For the larger books, with trades that are not of equal value, the difference is in cash or other services.  Technical projects should be negotiated through an approved contract service company, but direct contract is fine, only limited (for instance, for existing clients seeking further work).

All requested documents are subjected to our years of thorough and refined research techniques, as well as their year's-practiced, precise file management, in place since they began operations, based on Greg's Military Industrial Complex experience in project development for aircraft and other vehicles and vessels.  The trick is to schedule, virtual in-process reviews using telecommunications. They keep timesheets in accordance with models applied for government contract for your review as well as create what is known as a linear Logistical Support Analysis Record (LSAR).  These are accepted accountability processes, Greg learned on the job, to establish and follow a documentation "paper trail" in government contracts...Greg knows this from vast experience and applies the same policies, procedures, roles, responsibilities, specifications and standards their creative work.

ENTERPRISE NOVELS AND GHOST WRITING, (no up-front costs; copyright transferred at acceptance/delivery); number of words based on those set for the current Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) Nebula Awards and Google definition for novelettes.  There is a sample book offered free on this site for you to get a handle on writing style and wording from a technical as well as creative viewpoint (both of which are critical for hybrid products which call for both in varying measures).  See below for link to "Blow Up Jack!".  You can also buy any offered work on Kindle to study as a sample, as well as to enjoy.  There's a variety of genres from which to choose.

Almost all current conventional contracts, from other sources, of course, usually require money up-front.  THEY DON'T.  Other ghost writers call for incremented payments, for instance, 1/3rd up front; 1/3rd in the middle, and the balance upon completion and acceptance.  THEY DON'T.  If you want a piece written by them, the Alliance, we process your Statement of Work, in which you define what it is you want, the number of words (or the amount you wish to pay, since they are one in the same, or offer a trade).  If they accept the proposal, they lay out the time to produce your product based on your schedule, to include in-process reviews, their schedule of commitments, and then they begin work.

If your reviews go well, they deliver the work and wait for your acceptance.  In all cases, when work is sent for your review, it is important to note that you have agreed to the copyright and will act in accordance with this.  Upon acceptance, the copyright is transferred via e-mail for legal reasons, and you own your document in text form in Microsoft Word, then, you are free to hire a format expert to format your document for the internet or for conventional publishing.  It's as easy as that.  You can have your work "ghosted" or provide an acknowledgment, such as:

...with Gregory St. John Taylor

or

...and Gregory St. John Taylor

If you don't like the final product, they keep the copyright, alter the story to their liking and publish it themselves.  If you wish to be acknowledged for your idea as a contributor only, tell them, and they will be delighted to include it their ACKNOWLEDGMENT portion of the book in question.  They place an ACKNOWLEDGMENT portion at the end of every book they produce and they publish.  You will have no rights to the book itself, but you can see yourself in lights, a good thing.

For a view of exactly what is available in the marketplace produced by them, put the whole name, Gregory St. John Taylor, in the Kindle Bookstore search field and browse the works, currently over 115 "samples" for you to "Look Inside," and consider buying for your reading pleasure.  This includes standalone works as well as those produced as individual works then included in other works, such as storybooks containing various combinations of genres.  The array is categorized for your convenience.  If you are going to arrange for a ghost-written book or one of their custom-fitted enterprise novels, review the offerings on the Kindle sales pages, buy a sample, read it and decide.

As official DUO and D-SALA Publicist, I hope I have provided you with the bases for a successful arrangement.  Schedule as early as you can, since there are only two them.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us for any reason at duopubs@aol.com, their business contact point, and, obviously, mine too.
